Default Best Virtualisation Program
What's currently the best virtualisation program for running multiple OS on one PC at the same time.

I'm currently running server2003 on a dual p3 1.3Ghz server, which I'm looking to retire in favour of running it on my desktop as a virtual machine.

Suggestions?

Probably Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2.

Remember, when running virtual instances, ram and disk are king!

Well the LATEST server 2.00 Beta for vista 64 is different as it's all web based. I find it annoying.

I stuck to the vmware workstation trial for vista 64 for now...

Will be running on a raid 1 array, on a c2d @ 2,8ghz with 4GB of ram on vista 64.

It's my desktop, will be soon putting in a quad core cpu.

VMWare is by FAR the best virtual server available. I use VMware Server 1.0.4 on CentOS running on a 2 x 2.8ghz xeon, RAID 5 and 4gigs of RAM. Never have any issues with it and it is running 10 XP machines. Funny thing is when I went to MS TechED last year a majority of the presenters used VMWare and not MS Virtual Server, now that has to say something.

Another vote for VMWare. Microsoft virtual PC 2007 isn't bad either. Played around with that a bit.

Another vote for VMware, we use it here at work for a variety of machines.

Used Virtual PC 2005 and VMWARE but don't have a preference, must be because off the playfull attitude I treid them in. In a production environment/for someone doing it for more then just fun I think VMWARE is both faster and has more options, but Virtual PC was set up and running so quick and just felt real easy. Maybe n00b = Virtual PC first?
