wine makes me extremely happy...
vodka makes me sleepy and feel bad at the same time..

guess it's because vodka is way stronger, but at the same time I drink way more wine then vodka..

the only real differences are alcohol contents. Alcohol passes strait through your stomach lining into your blood...so carbs and such is meaningless. This might end up being a longish post but i will do my best to explain why alcohol content is the only mitigating factor.
That's not entirely true - the majority (roughly 4/5) of the alcohol one consumes is absorbed by the small intestine. Thus the contents of the stomach does play a part in how fast the alcohol is absorbed, whilst it is in the stomach and passing through to the intestine.

I always wonder why Stella makes me want to kick someones head in whilst all other beers do the opposite.
Other beers make you want someone to kick your head in? Hmm.

Yep that's why you might feel less drunk in the evening, but the alcohol will still have to be processed by your liver at night, causing a worse hangover the next day

Wine is good!

I really enjoy my beer, but appreciate wine more. Every varietal and bottle is unique. The same can be said for beer, but its plainly and simply not as elegant or sophisticated.

Sophisticated!

Me? Hardly, but I do know what I like and have tasted my share of both, from low end to high end.

Anyways.. yes I like the nice warm, not full feeling, that wine brings. Even more with the right atmosphere, setting, or mood.
are you mad? i hate wine specially when it comes out of the other end in the morning[thumbdown]

Slightly.[surrender]

Its been a long time since I've gone to that excess, still only slightly over par from crapping tar from many a Guinness extra stout.

I agree.
And me too. Alcohol is one of the few drugs (besides nicotine and heroine) that makes one both physically and mentally addicted to it. The rest of the drugs are only mentally addictive.

It's pretty easy to kill yourself with alcohol too, but only with spirits. Plus alcohol has a terrible effect on the brain.

Btw I only noticed I was addicted to alcohol once I quit doing it. Had a rough time falling asleep (mental addiction), body shaking (physical addiction), etc.

I'm not promoting any form of drugs, but this topic (just look at the title) is obviously addiction related.

I agree with you guys, but I think it boils down to the fact that alcohol is perfectly legal in most, if not all, of the world where as drugs (and I think I know the one you are thinking of...[rofl]) are not.

Yes, that's pretty much it. This is where that discussion needs to end.
