Features alone, N95
Symbian OS interface might not be easiest to use and not so user friends as iPhone's might be, but that's just small thing. ![]() If lack of memory card slot doesn't bother. Would recommend to also look N95 8GB as option. OS works faster (more free RAM), bit bigger display, better battery and ofc, it's shiny black. [thumbup] Currently waiting N95 8GB to be released here at Finland. Gonna be my next phone. ![]() |

The iPhone is much better at music, internet and video. The N95 has more features, like better GPS (iPhone only has a sudo-gps which uses phone towers) and better camera.
What it comes down to is are you going to want to use the features the iPhone lacks. Also while the iPhone's battery life isn't the best to start with, the N95 is generally worse. |

Better at internet? Don't think so, the N95 has pretty much everything when it comes to that and the iPhone has what? Edge and WLAN, pfff. I do have gripes about it though. The no GPS thing sucks, but its not so bad as it can plan out routes for you to take with google maps. Bluetooth has been limited to headsets only, so no pairing with a laptop, or other phones to share files. The last gripe is that unlike in safari where you can display the keyboard either tall or wide in email, and some other apps you can only use tall. And the last is no voice dailing, which would be very useful because there is no tactile feedback meaning you HAVE to look at the phone to dial. Still, overall, I'm really happy with the phone, the music/video features more than make up for its shortcomings to me. I'm sure many of the shortcomings will be fixed in the 2nd gen which is suppose to be coming this year, I think 2nd or 3rd quarter, but don't quote me on that. As far as memory, 8gb is good, however I probably won't ever be happy unless I can stick all of my crap on there, so in that case they'd need a 400 or 500gb model and thats a ways off for flash memory in a cellphone. By the time we can do that I would need 4 or 5 terabytes i'm sure. ![]() |

I wouldnt buy either - The N95 is a crippled phone, battery life is nowhere near good enough. I take the train to london frequently and you would expect my bloody phone would last the journey doing whatever I want on it but it doesnt.
The W960i is out now, you should look at that. I actually prefer using a W850i over the N95..it plays back movies just as nice and music better. Sure the camera might not be as good, it lacks wireless LAN and doesnt have GPS..but at the end of the day, I need my phone to stay alive longer than 2 hours. |

Im biased as i own the N95, but work where we have daily access to the iphone:
iphone Pros: - Great screen - Amazing UI Cons - GPRS, EDGE connection if youre lucky - No MMS support - 2MP cam, no flash or video - No 3rd party appliction - Tied to O2 - No A2DP (stereo bluetooth headsets) - Itunes Fanastic gadget, but very poor when it comes to a phone. If you want easy texting, forget about it. If you want a gadget with decent media playback and that is a joy to use, the iPhone is definately the best choice. Nokia N95 Pros - 5MP cam, Video at 640 x 480 - GPS wtih aGPS - FM Radio, mp3, aac etc playback - Many 3rd party apps - Literal drag and drop for music, video, pictures etc. Cons - Battery life (although with latest firmware is improved) - Slightly weak build feel Alot of people complain about the battery life, and initially it was poor, but the newest version 20 firmware has improved the N95 leaps and bounds, the 8GB actually comes with a larger capacity battery that lasts quite a while. Personally I say go for neither, get a semi decent phone and an iTouch - the best of both worlds. |

Somehow the iPhone has made everyone move to these bigger phones that are more other function and not as much phone... |
