Default detention for using Firefox
Sounds like a made up story. Surely it should be obvious to any idiot that looks at it that FF is a browser.

According to this it's a hoax.

Update: A little digging shows the Pennsylvania high schooler in detention is in the doghouse for mouthing off, not for using Firefox, as reported on the web.

His detention could also have been due to installing software. A lot of places don't allow it due to the "security risk".

Computer classes weren't any fun back in my day if you couldn't install other stuff, that was the only reason anyone went

Oh don't you love the enquirer.

One can't help but notice that the teacher not only hasn't a clue about Firefox, and even got the program name wrong, but is also challenged as to grammar. Well one can't help but notice that the Enquirer's grammer is also shite... Are they being deliberately ironic?

Grammer?
Yes grammer - it'd be almost ironic if I'd said 'speling' - your post might have been almost funny then.

Grammar... soz...
