Default Astronomy Laser Pointers - Aries Series Laser?
I have been looking at this site:
http://www.laserglow.com/index.php?aries

Starting at: $199.00
Output Power: 20mW - 250mW
Pump Diode: 1.0-1.2W 808nm
Diode Make: Osram or nLight
Wavelength: 532nm (green)
Casing: Solid Aluminum
Warranty: 6 Month Standard/ 12 Month Extended And seem to have found what im looking for. But does anyone know of another place in europe to get them, preferably around Uk/Ireland or even a local rival brand, something with a similar pump diode rating, its doesnt even have to max @ 250mw, im looking to average at least around the 40/50/60mw range

Thanks

This site doesn't provide as much info as what the other site does but their prices are pretty good.

Thanks, good find but they seem a little underpowered the 50 has a duty cycle of 80 seconds and the 100 only 60 sec, i suppose thats only as long as they can hold their rating for before they overheat and rapidly loose output

The Aries series seem to be able to hold near peak for up to 10 minutes

Thats they're Aries 100, with a sustained rated output of 100-124mW / 140mW max output, if the graph is accurate. Anyone know about their actual quality, they seem pretty legit though

Powerful
Laserglow's Aries series is powered by a 1,200mW IR pump diode running at 1000mW. The most powerful laser pointers use 300mW or 500mW pump diodes. This means that our portable lasers not only have the highest output, but also have the longest life, as they are never run at or above capacity.

Stable
You get what you pay for! There are retailers selling small laser pointers claiming to output 120mW or more. The reality is that a laser pointer cannot properly dissipate heat, and due to thermal buildup, a 120mW laser pointer will drop in output power down to 20-30mW in less than 10 seconds!!! The ARIES series are built with a heat sink- this provides a very stable temperature, and a constant output power. This means that your Aries-150 will output >150mW after 5, 10, 20 minutes of operation!
I would like to keep the price down but i guess i cant find what im looking for cheap
Plus i rather a cylinder shape to fit easily into a finderscope mount. I wonder will they're be any problem ordering overseas though

They seem to have a lot of odd example videos: for example popping baloon, cutting through electrical tape and lighting matches underwater, which i didnt thin was possible

Those lasers look awesome and also quite good value for money. If you look under the specifications tab you can see that the Traverse Mode is TEM00 and the M^2 Value is
