Default Looking for a new mp3 player...
I'm thinking of getting a new player to replace my current 20gb archos player. I need more capacity and I need good sound quality at a good price. I've been eying the 160gb Ipod, it looks pretty nice. Can anyone recommend me something else??

if you don't see any drawbacks for yourself in the ipod, it is plain impossible to recommend something else

Hehe, I though that might be the case. It's a bit expensive but I can get it with 30% off, which makes it extremely attractive. The only problem is I read somewhere that the sound quality of the new Ipods is not very good, any truth to that??

Well I don't know about the HD based players, but the new Nano's sound great.

The only reason why I did not suggest the iAudio 7 was because he wants more capacity at a good price.

the 7 is the Nano beater now that it comes in 8 and 16 GB sizes, especially with the new nanos being FAT

I would only call it a Nano beater if it could beat it in just about every way.

But the Nano has a few advantages:
Thinner
Bigger screen
Better interface
Component video out

I can't agree anyone can call if fat. It's grown in width, but it's significantly shorter than the older two Nano's, and it's just slightly thinner than my old 1st generation nano. Compared to the normal ipods, this nano is still tiny in comparison.

I've got an 8GB nano here and it's far, far better than the 1st generation nano I've been using before this one. Gotta try out some video on it now.
