I doubt it'll see a Pre 2008 DVD release in the West, it only just came out on the big screen in Japan.

I'm guessing here, you're thinking about Ghost in the Shell. Although She wasn't exactly an assassin, or a robot. Section 9 is part of the Police, and Kusanagi was a cyborg, and she was only actually naked for her maintenance routine (pervert).
