I'm starting to grow a little something for the hell of it and I want something to trim a beard, in the sense of keeping it even/tame. I don't want to shave it off. I'm really not sure what's out there that's any good or if I should just get a regular hair trimmer and use one of those.

You don't cut one hair at a time, but multiple hairs. Much quicker.

Yeah, but that's still a pita. I want to try to keep it around a shadow size or a tad longer. I just realized I didn't mention length in the OP, sorry.

Shave before you go to bed and you'll have that in the morning?

Yeah I guess if you're trying to maintain something that short you might want some clippers.

Norelco W23, but dont let it grab ya skin, the somebitch will eat ya face alive. I use it for my goat but damn dont get close. wheeeeww
