Default The Bourne Ultimatum
Just got back from seeing this on an advance screening.

Wow, just wow. That's all I can say. Breathtaking; I can't recall the last time I was so glued to the screen

Have you read the book? How is it compared to that? I know they've taken a few different turns before.

Looking forward to seeing it, the Bourne films arn't afraid to take themselves seriously unlike the campy Bonds and more entertaining for it.

Nope. Haven't read any of the books but, from what I hear, the movies don't stick to closely to them.

I tried reading ultimatum, but didnt have the time to finish it, read only 1/4 of it.
main difference from what I read though was his GF was still alive and they were both married.

none the less, even if the movie is not loyal to the book, its still a great movie

Great to hear... I hope'd they wouldn't water it down into an action romp in order to get the most ticket sales. Bourne has been a favourite of mine since the first due to its intelligent plot and Bourne's role, played very well by Damon.

Can't wait to see it [thumbup]

My only complaint is that they used a lot of the "Raw" camera work style. As in, they have the camera in there moving around like you're in the middle of it with the characters. The camera is shaking and turning about. It makes me dizzy sometimes and can make it hard for me to follow what is going on.

Other than that. I loved the film.

I guess you should've downloaded the DVD Rip, not the CAM.

Afaik the movies have nothing to do with the books. Besides the fact that it's about a guy named Jason Bourne/Derek Webb and he kills people/has amnesia.

My question is is that bit where Pam Landy tells him his name/birthday is that the same scene from the end of Bourne Supremacy? So was everything before that in movie #3 something that happened between the last 2 scenes at the end of movie #2?

Post about some camera work is true, Supremacy shows this a lot. Car chase and obviously the fighting scenes are very violent and make it hard to see what Damon is doing exactly... more giving an impression of speed or quick succession of movements.

I've read the books and seen the first one I don't remember if I saw the second, and I know they are not honest to the books. They do have a general similarity though.

I haven't seen any Bourne film yet, god knows why cause they seem awesome. But I did just buy Identity and Supremacy on DVD, which I shall watch before I go see it in the cinema.
