Default Suggestions for home theater speakers?
gonna have

http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Onkyo...oductDetail.do

or

http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Onkyo...oductDetail.do

or maybe the new 705, but one of those 3

Dont want to spend more then $3000 on all the speakers (including a powered sub) any suggestions would be appreciated (7.1 or 5.1 is fine, im use to 5.1 but if 7.1 is that much better id be willing to step up to that as the reciever is capable)

I was completely amazed by Axiom. I did get the cheapest set because I'm po(too poor to afford the "or" in poor). They are truly unbelievable.

BTW click on "Axiom" for the homepage.

3k? Check out Outlaw Audio for decoders/preamps/amps and most importantly subs. They have fantastic stuff. For speakers, on that price range, try checking out B&W or Monitor Audio lines. The RS or Bronze line from MA should be doable, I should think there would be a comperable range from B&W.

For 3k, dont get anything from bestbuy... get the real deal.

Paradigm all the way. Bang for buck simply cannot be matched. Except for their subs, get a sub elsewhere.

oh I misread it- 3k just for speakers, nice! As concerning the onkyo- its probably ok.
As NinjaActionJeans recommended, paradigm are awesome- throw on an LFM-1 or better from outlaw audio (as I mentioned) and you will be kickin!

i am no expert in that company, but as a rule of thumb, the subs from them are usually really expensive- a sub is a loudspeaker, but it is different... and while they offer them I would think a third company that specializes in them can do a better job for the money. Outlaw and the company from which they base their designs (IIRC it was hsu?) have great subs, it is probably more economical to go that route.

For Amps/CD Players etc I've always liked Marantz, Denon & Arcam.

For Speakers & Subs I've always liked Kef, Linn & B&W.
