Anyway here is the problem. I accepted a job where I need to train in a different state about 250 miles away. Its a 4 week course, the problem is my car. My car just started this problem on my way home on saturday. I felt the steering basically become unresponsive to the left side. I took it to a mechanic and he couldnt even fix the problem which is my rack and pinion system is shot. He told me it wasnt safe to drive on any highway. Now the problem, Im supposed to go back to the training store tommorrow and I cant physically make it. The cost is going to be 500$+ because somehow a tie rod got messed up and so did the alignments and cambers. I dont have that much money to fix it nor do I have anyone to let me borrow their car for 21 more days. I want to work, It pays a lot of money but I cant physically get their its out of my control
![]() I have 2 stores around me that I can get too to finish training but when I originally told them about it they said I have to only train at the "training" store. Any ideas? |

Talk to them, let them know what is going on. Other then that there really isn't anything that you can do other then get your ride fixed even if you are tight on funds.
Just hope that they understand and still keep you on. If they say no, and it really means a lot to you and offers a bunch, then even consider a rental for a couple of days while your rig is in the shop. Around here, there are even a few shops that give out rentals when they work on your ride, so you could even look into that. |
