Argh I hate city link so much. I've got my new computer turning up today (First upgrade in 4 years [thumbup]) and have orderd all the bits from scan.co.uk who unfortunatly use city-link
My brother is on summer holiday at the moment so i persuaded him to stay in all day for the delivery as I had to work. He stayed in all day and i was checking their tracking system from my mobile but low and behold they didnt turn up. All day its been saying that the good arrived at their depo (about 45mins away) and was "ready to be loaded onto delivery truck" However this status didnt change all day. Checked at 7pm still said "goods ready to be loaded onto delivery truck". Now im a sensible person. I dont mind if they didnt turn up one day, i've been waiting 4 years, one day dosent make a difference........ What REALLY pisses me off is that I just checked the tracking system again and its just been updated saying that at 8pm goods were "Returned to depo after unsuccessful delivery attempt" NO THEY WERNT YOU LYING GITS!!!! YOU NEVER EVEN BOTHERED TO TURN UP!, NO CARD, NO TRUCK, NOTHING!!!! *breathes* If your not going to turn up, dont update your tracking website to say you did.... i KNOW you didnt, just say "will deliver tomorrow or something" Im going to track down the address of the MD of City-link and punch him in the face for owning such a stupid company *stomps off* |

I have had nothing but problems with them and I simply just don't order online unless the company clearly states they don't use City Link.
I have had stuff come late. I have had the driver knock once and then drive off after waiting a couple of seconds. I have had them just put a slip through the door without even knocking. Worst of all was a couple of years ago when I ordered a **** load of Cathodes and other delicate items from Scan and when I got the box it looked like they had been playing football with it. The times when I did actually sign for a package the driver always seemed to be in a mood. |

add me to the list of people who've had made up deliveries from Shitty Link.
I think that's the deal, they have a look to see if they've thrown it around enough to cause serious damage to the item if they haven't managed to accomplish that they hold on to it a bit longer and pretend to have tried to deliver it. |

And here i thought that UPS and Fed-Ex were bad on the occasion that they screw up. They do it like 1 time out of like 15 or 20, but when they do it's one to remember. I've had that happen where they say that they were unable to deliver because nobody was home and a slip was posted on my door. I there the entire day waiting for it to arrive and they pull that crap.
