It seems the BBC is doing a summer special after all, set in the North Pole of all places. It looks like the show will follow Clarkson, May and Hammond as they drive to the north pole in some sort of off road vehicle.

According to Clarkson, it should be out this month, but as the BBC haven't announced a date yet, I guess it might be pushed back to August.

It's going to be on Wednesday 25th at 8pm (just before the start of Heroes on BBC2):
In Top Gear's most ambitious and arduous challenge to date Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond attempt to race from Northern Canada to the North Pole, 450 miles away. The terrain in between is some of the toughest on earth - a mix of mountainous land masses and jagged sea ice where temperatures can drop to a mind-numbing minus 65 degrees Celcius. Jeremy and James will be driving a specially adapted pick up truck whilst Richard will be travelling on something a little less high tech - a sled pulled by a team of ten Canadian Inuit Dogs.

Awesome, a great laugh all the way through [thumbup] That 4x4 is a beast, it really was. And cred' to Hammond, its bloody tough way to get to the N.Pole.

Bound to be complaints about something they did over the next few days.
Either damaging the enviroment, drink driving, animal cruelty or whatever.

I expect Toyota to use that in there advertising at some point. What a truck !!

Good thing it was filmed awhile back (exact date?) as i could of seen a Russian sub popping up claiming that Clarkson and Co were trespassing
