Default beckham debut
so did anyone watch last night.

the begining of the game where he was jsut on the bench and the cameramen were all surrounding him was pretty ridiculous.

bet hes not used to those kind of crappy crappy benches.

but from only seeing the 15 minutes he played you can tell he was faaaaar surperior then anyone else on the galaxy.

scary moment when he went down tho. but replays show it was just his right foot that got caught.

being a chelsea fan tho it was good to watch those guys. that goal that was called offsides from schevenkos build up was so nasty!

all in all tho the galaxy will benefit from becks.

still pissed that our local newspaper didnt have a write up about the game. crappy orlando sentinel.

hes got quality names around him its just he is far superior than everyone in his game. i mean hes one of the best in the world. as long as the player around him level up their game galaxy is definately gonna move up the points scale.

plus i heard some rumors of schevenko in the mls in the future

...not. [rolleyes]

Actually its a good move. Quite a few good players have picked a "third world soccer country" like the US or Bahrein for example for their last years in pro football, and its quite a good move. Beckenbauer did go to New York and he said those was the best time of his career. You dont have to work so hard anymore but still earn alot of money and play your favorite game. You're the star of the team and easily the best player. Whats not to like about that? Heck, I'd chose something like this as my last working years in a heartbeat.

Imo, Beckham isn't even that good compared to a lot of European players

hes good. if you watched a real madrid game you would see he would be the main workhorse running all around the pitch and doing all the work. quality player. good work ethic. quality man.

Beckham, isn't he more show than game?

Isn't he also a licked off sandwich thrown out by the European, and maybe rest of the world, football world?

Oh well, if they love him and the poor bastards pay for his actions.. I'd say go for it. Pathetic *******. [rofl]

yeah hes so bad that he helped madrid win the title this year, and madrid wanted him back and tried to get him back. and ac milan and inter tried to get him as well as a handful of premiership teams. [yawn] beckham bashing is old. fifa world player of the year runner up twice. on the treble winning man utd squad and 3 world cup appearances. yeah he must suck

Anyone with sense about football knows that Beckham is nothing more than an average player. He can kick a ball well but that's where it ends.

That's with a team of players that match him, and not a team that consists of retard players.

Any of the normal football clubs here can kick the ass out of LA Galaxy [rofl]

And I am a football hater [surrender]

A lot of sour grapes about this guy.
I promise you that if you had any kind of talent enough to play professionally, you would take the highest $$ offer, which happened to be the Galaxy.
He's going to morph the sport of *american* soccer...Can anyone say Tiger Woods and Golf?

He didnt go for the money i doubt. when he decided this move, he was not playing well at madrid and prob thought he was nearing the end of his carrear (no more WCs or england captincy anyway) But after he signed he was a star player in helping Madrid turn the la liga round and win the league.

Beckham is still a good player but he defiantly is not what he was. Still 100% times better than anyone who plays in American league. I think maybe this is a year to early. he could have won some more this year at Madrid.

Should be nice to see him play in Australia against Sydney FC. looks like the LA Galaxy aren't good enough to get the full LA Galaxy vs Australia. Kinda like Manchester United vs Aus.

Edit: Match is November 27th.
