Scientists at the University of Hawaii at Manoa will soon have a chance to investigate a creature that appears to be half squid, half octopus that was found in waters off the Big Island.

I know it's a bit pedantic but, technically speaking, if it's half an octopus it would be a Quadropus

Eh not really. It's highly unlikely for a "genetic freak" to have a hybrid, 2-species phenotype.
