I heard on the radio the other day how people are lining up in front of Apple store from yesterday to get their hands on one first (like who ****ing cares?).
One guy said his plan is to "drink water from the bathroom taps" (gross) and "depend on the generosity of New Yorkers for food". I'm sorry idiot, but if you can't afford your own food and drink for a mere few days, maybe you shouldn't be buying a 500 dollar iHype. So in other words, it sucks. |

there's a lot here on this -
A phone could never make service better. The Iphone will auctually only ever really make things worse. As long as it's just AT&T that will offer it. Because AT&T is the only provider that will bend over and grab its ankles in liu of apple's demands, their data network is the worst you can come by - and will choke any potentional the Iphone possibly has. Apple wants not only profit from the phone - but an ongoing revenue sharing of "minutes", and no network provider wants to put up with that. Not for a phone that not until later models will even have have gps, like phones here have had for quite a long time, for half the price. (And imagine the day nokia and motorola pick up on this revenue-sharing bull*h*te it'll be the end of any wireless advancement) For the moment the ipod is nothing but a nano with a big screen that can make calls for between 60-100 dollars a MONTH!. But like most things - time will tell - and just like the 1'st Ipod was a joke - future modles of the phone might auctually have some kick. But it'll be a while until I consider parting with my food and drink for one. It wasn't till the 5'th generation Ipods that I got one. For thoes who are adiment - I'd say at least wait for the gps version. Remember it's a gadget - not even with a real keypad. I have an Ipod - I have a blackberry. I have NO use for anything like this. The main problem with the US's mobile market is greed. I love my service here. I never have to buy minutes - I can always receive calls on my mobile, even years after spending any credit at all on any of my sim cards from orange, amena, vodaphone, whatever. and any credit I do get - I never lose. and all providers here are like this - I'd rather these terms over an Iphone anyday. And all this created by competition - and the competition has driven wireless companies to provide other services to attract customers - like great data networks and sofourth - the us's market doesn't have, and never did such drive because they make enough with terms of service.. and have since the 80's. And I hate this - my parents back in the states are constantly calling me @ the end of every month with nothing to say from their cell phone to keep from "wasting" minutes they'll lose, just to be charged a pre-determined ammount again at the begining of the month. I'll never understand that. |
