Default Slow Play & Long Play - Whats the difference?
On my mini dv camcorder I have two recording choices, slow play (60 minutes) or long play (90 minutes). Whats the difference and whats best for quality? Some people have told me slow play is better but they didn't know why

Before anyone says, I have used Google but couldn't find anything concrete.

Thanks

Isn't it still Standard Play? Anyway SP's different because it doesn't try to fit more information into a limited amount of space. LP doesn't use the same kind of bit correction that SP does and so can suffer from that mad digital drop out you can get plus it's not so good compatibility wise when used on different players/records as well as in time not even on the same machine!. As someone who regularly use DV for work I can tell you have bloody annoying those issues can be.

Slow play records in better quality but you can't record as much.
Long play records in lower quality therefore you can record more.

Just test them both out and see which you prefer.

There is actually no difference in image quality this isn't like your analogue VHS tapes.
