I thought the movie was amazing from a visual standpoint. It felt so gruesome and rather believable. However, the story sucked so much ass.. I was hoping for something better in that regard, but Gibson likes graphic movies without much storytelling. Passion of the Christ is another example. As a Christian I would have skipped a bit on the violence and bring the message a bit more subtle.

I thought the film was absolutly shite. Like the others said, good cinematraphy (or whatever the word is) but once you got past the visuals it was a rather weak film.

I know people who didn't even bother to finish the film when it didn't even cost them anything. Says a lot...

grindhouse was superb in every way imaginable. it was very tarento and rodriguez. i saw it a few times in theaters.

if you dont like grindhouse you dont like their other movies.

On the contrary I love their other movies but I'm not feeble minded enough to love everything they put out simply based on namesake.

Four Rooms, another Tarantino and Rodriguez collaboration was every effing thing I want when i go to see that sort of film. Grindhouse was simply pathetic... Planet terror was too gimmicky and Deathproof was a snooze fest up until the last 30 minutes of the showing.

I assume you also love and Shark-boy and Lava Girl. Tis' a Rodriguez film after-all.

yes absolutely. I'd almost be willing to say this one does it even MORE black and white than the others he's done.

i didnt say that i love the movie because of who made them. i just said i loved them because they are exactly like the directers.

four rooms was great and to say roberts was not gimmicky in that, you are a mad man. and tarentinos? nothing but talking, just like reservoir dogs. he is a directer who uses extreme conversation to get his point across.

its supposed to be gimmicky and talky, thats why they are good.
