Watch a documentary on it, most the time it’s less extreme. It’s also not always cuss words but just anything which may be rude to someone (N word for someone that’s black, fat to someone that’s fat, etc), these kinds of outbursts make people think they’re like this all the time, which most the time they’re not, they may not be able to control what they say but a lot of the time it isn’t yelled or said in a hateful way. It would be amazing to study someday.

I saw that on MTV a few years ago, I think it was True Life: I have tourettes. They had a bunch of other people with it on that episode as well. At the end of her segment I think she was getting some experimental brain surgery to lessen the effects of her illness. Don't remember if it helped or not.

It would be amazing to study someday. My case, for example, has involved such symptoms as head shaking, making weird noises, and rolling my eyes. It makes me sound like some sort of animal when I say that. It's hard to describe what exactly drives me to do these "tics". It's very much like the urge to scratch, and it arises in generally uncomfortable situations. When I get my haircut, for example, I suddenly develop a head tic. The tics are suppressable with effort -- most of the time they are irresistable. |
