Let's have fun with Reality TV! Help get a neckbearded adonis onto a VH1 dating show!

For the last month, there has been an ongoing effort across a couple forums(somethingawful.com, digg.com, and several other sites) to get The Fireman, a red-bearded firefighter onto VH1's reality dating show "I Love New York 2". "New York" is actually a woman, a feisty "Black American Princess", and competing for her affections alongside our neckbearded warrior is the usual array of identikit "playaz" and "G's". Needless to say, the Fireman is not entirely what she will be expecting.

The last month has been a tough battle, but the Fireman has made it through to the final round - indeed, were it not for some obvious cheating by one of the contestants, he would have finished the previous round in first place. But the votes are getting reset for the last round, the field is getting narrower, and he needs all the help he can get to secure a place on the show - where doubtless, hilarity will ensue, and the outraged howls of a million bored housewives will attest to the mighty power of the internets. The contracts are signed, i's dotted and t's crossed; it's all down to the next six days.

This is where you guys come in. Register at the ILNY2 site. You won't be signed up to any lists, and the only emails you receive will be when someone sends you a message - it's completely spam-free. Really, the only extra email youre ever going to get is if someone leave you a comment.

Some rules/info:

1) There are twenty contestants in the final round, and the top 5 will go through onto the show. As of right now, they wont display vote counts(SUSPENSE), but the "Who's Winning" page still displays who is in what place.
2) You can vote once every 24 hours - that is, once you've voted you must wait 24 hours until you can vote again.
3) Do NOT cheat! One account only! We do this fair and square, or we bow out with our dignity intact.
4) Again, please don't cheat! There were a couple ways of doing this in the previous round - believe me, they're common knowledge - and those who did so just had the votes deducted, and jeopardised their involvement.
5) Do not troll other contestants or voters! We have been copping flak from people who do not like what we're doing - we will not sink to their level!
6) Have fun! Support the Fireman, leave him comments! While some people have a bad attitude towards us, the Fireman's fans have also won over people due to their zany humor and loyal support.
7) The site can be flaky at times - if you get a server error page, hit refresh until it works.
8) While you can vote for more than one person, please only vote for the Fireman.

Vote from either the Who's winning page - click on the heart under his name - or from his own profile page. All it takes is one mouse-click a day, for the next six days, to send an brave underdog onto national TV and strike a blow against shallow couch-potato culture for the glory of all the internet!
