You never do actually see Meadow walking through that door. She is walking toward the diner........the shot goes to Tony looking up as the jingle of the door opens and...............................BLACK!!!!!!!!!!! !!! Was that really Meadow walking through that door? Don't know whether to [thumbdown] or [thumbup]. Hmmmmm.

So here is what I found out. The guy at the bar is also credited as Nikki Leotardo. The same actor played him in the first part of season 6 during a brief sit down concerning the future of Vito. That wasn't that long ago. Apparently, he is the nephew of Phil. Phil's brother Nikki Senior was killed in 1976 in a car accident.

The trucker was the brother of the guy who was robbed by Christopher in Season 2. Remember the DVD players? The trucker had to identify the body. The boy scouts were in the train store and the black guys at the end were the ones who tried to kill Tony and only clipped him in the ear in season 2.

There were three people in the restaurant who had reason to kill Tony and then it just ends. This was Chase's way of proving that he will not escape his past. It will not go on forever despite that he would like it to "don't stop". Not the fans!!! Tony would like it to keep going but just as we have to say goodbye, so does he. No more Tony and I guess we are supposed to be happy that Meadow didn't get clipped as well (she would have been between the shooter and Tony) since she is the only one worth a crap in that family.
you found out wrong... chase did an interview and said no one in the restuarant besides his family had ever interacted with tony... i am not saying he wasn't killed at the end... just that no one in there is who you say they were

I thought it was a good ending myself. I really started to dislike Tony this season but I have much love for him overall, I didn't want to see him get whacked! The guy has had a lot on his plate the last 10 years and his *real* family was just starting to come together again.

Hated to see Bobby get killed, he was my favorite character after Chris died. But Pauly lived to tell the story to future generations

I enjoyed the show, hated to see it end but, "Whatta ya gonna do?"

Yea I do agree with you though, the ending was the biggest disappointment to me.

It was like it was leading to a climax that never happened, it was crap.

I think it's more like choose your own ending.

Tony could go to jail
Everything could be ok,
Tony got whacked by one of the people in the dinner...

"You probably don't even hear it when it happens huh?" Bobby on the boat

The guy who was sitting at the counter walked out of the bathroom and shot tony in the back of the head, the last thing Tony saw was meadow walking in the door...

or lol, we the audience got whacked...

I hated it..except the part where Phil got whacked.

That was nice.

The ending...remember how Tony and Bobby (I think) were discussing getting shot and one of them said that they had heard that you never heard the one that kills you? I guess you could interpret it like that.

The way they left it leaves it open for a movie or I also heard that they were in talks on a show based on the character Silvio.

Guess we will see.

But I still think they could and should have done alot better.

OK, at first I was really angry. I mean really, really angry. I can't believe though that no-one has posted by now what happened. The only thing I saw that was right, was that in the last scene we are seeing through Tony's eyes. Remember when he was speaking with Bobby...basically saying that you don't see it happening?

So here is what I found out. The guy at the bar is also credited as Nikki Leotardo. The same actor played him in the first part of season 6 during a brief sit down concerning the future of Vito. That wasn't that long ago. Apparently, he is the nephew of Phil. Phil's brother Nikki Senior was killed in 1976 in a car accident.

So the point would have been that life continues and we may never know the end of the Sopranos. But if you pay attention to the history, you will find that all the answers lie in the characters in the restaurant. The trucker was the brother of the guy who was robbed by Christopher in Season 2. Remember the DVD players? The trucker had to identify the body. The boy scouts were in the train store and the black guys at the end were the ones who tried to kill Tony and only clipped him in the ear in season 2.

Thank you David Chase for making it so obscure that I feel bad for hating you at first. Absolutely amazing!!!!"

OMG. I heard that some of the guys in the diner were on the show before. I also heard the theory that Tony was wacked, as the last scene you see Meadow enter the diner first person thought Tony.

Lots of talk about a Sopranos movie. [thumbup] I know James Gandolfini said he is done, but with what he would be paid I am sure he would reconsider. I think that Chase wanted everyone to think he got wacked at the end. BUT we don't know do we?

I'm going to throw up now. I sound like Acarney.
