Default Post your Crack&Speed Test!

I know it's slow, but that's what I get on base here in Japan for the lowest paying highspeed plan

Our line at work, we have a 10Mbit uplink, but the line connection from us to the main router is only 4Mbit.

Fellow onions... this is what Australians have to put up with once you download over download limits... mine is 12GB @ $70 a month. Once past 12GB it gets capped to 64/64.

When capped I feel miserable and sort of depressed when using it you just can't do jack **** without things taking forever to load.

Was pretty surprised to see I could upload at 250k/sec at the hostel I was staying at recently

At home, still just a 1mbit/256 line, not much point testing it...

It is... and now it's really starting to really make headlines in news that the Australian communications network is a disgrace for a wealthy country. To get a semi decent speed and download limit you need to pay good money. Once you start paying $30 a month (about what most average people want to pay) or less most ISP's offer download limits of a pathetic 500MB or lower... either they get speed capped to 64K once over the limit or they get charged massive $$$ per gigabyte. For example my ISP will charge $150 a gig if you're on a 500MB plan and you go over the 500MB.
