Default Dog selling question
I got 2 pure bred chihuahuas and they had puppies on April 11th. Eight weeks is coming up, so they are getting ready to be sold. I just put an ad in the paper, but it won't start till June 5th and will run 10 days. I paid $68 for that.

I just had a guy come over and asked if they were pure bred. I told him they were and he confirmed it after taking a look at the parents to be sure. He asked how much and I told him $150. He asked if they had all their shots already and stuff and I told him no, so he told me he wouldn't pay more than $50 for a girl. I told him no cause it's a girl and those usually sell for more, but that just isn't enough anyways. He said he was going to have to take them to the vet, get all of it's shots, pay for the first visit, therefore, he was going to spend about $220 after all was said and done on top of the $150. He told me if they had it's shots I could sell them for about $450 if I really wanted.

I figured he wanted it real cheap cause if he paid $150 for it and then about $220 for it's shots as he said, it'd come out to about $370; cheaper than the $450 he told me.

So I need some advice. Do I need to get all their shots before I sell them? Should I take them to get their worm shot or whatever they give them to get rid of that? He said that was about $8, so for the 6 left that'd be just say $50 (yes i know it's $48). Can I just sell them like this? How much should I ask? 1 is a furry one (it's a boy), so I could get more for that one. That one is hella cute! Almost makes me want to keep him, but I don't want to cross breed.

I just need advice on how to sell them and what I need to do, so I appreciate it if anyone can help!

Ship them over to me in the UK. Just normal chihuahuas here go for £700 minimum ($1400)

I was joking about the shipping... so consider this a bump

Pure bred chihuahuas are really expensive, I'm near positive you can get way more than your asking price imo.

why not give them away?

Check prices in online and local classifieds then underbid. Make sure you have their papers available(parents). Get their shots for them. Girls are usually worth more, so is pick of the litter(biggest/healthiest).

If they are AKC registered you can get $500+ for each puppy. Most breeders have first shots as well as a health check done on the litter.

If they are not registered, the pedigree is not verified. Without it, if anyone pays over $150 they are paying too much. ( IMO)
