So I've been trying to sell my laptop on eBay for the past month or so, but eBay has become sh*thole of scammers. People with somewhat acceptable (or exceptional) feedback are having their accounts hacked, I think they're fine to do business with and then realise my time has been wasted.
I have listed my laptop 4 times in the past 6 weeks, everytime it's either been a scammer or "my paypal has been restricted". I think I may have a buyer, he has 0 feedback, but has given me his number (spoke on phone) and I have his address details because he has successfully won my laptop. Now, he is having problems with PayPal, but is offering to make payment directly to my account tomorrow morning. Are there any issues I should be thinking about in regards to giving this gentlemen (or not as the case may be) my account number and sort code? I presume this is a safe practice for him to merely deposit funds, not take out. Any help would be great. |
