That's weird, it should have thrown a code out for that. Anyways, makes sense; car has no idea how much air is getting in, so it doesn't know how much fuel is needed. Hence it stuttering and stalling.

And for future reference, you'll know when the turbo is out. There will be either oil all in the engine bay, or white smoke out the exhaust when you first crank up.
its a bosche MAF and they aparently have a habbit of not realizing they are faulty.

im pretty sure the turbo isnt dead because all is normal when I drive around locally and I can optain max speed from standstill down the long road and I can feel the boost kick in.

what would you guys recomend a remaping or a chip tuner ?

I would get the chip remapped to just get everything more efficent. With those tuner chips, all you are looking at is increased power and decreased fuel economy. With a remap, you are looking at more power and the same or better fuel economy.

I know a guy who got an Evo9 and the first thing he did was remap the ECU. He got the same economy, but increased the HP by 30 horses. They made the turbo much more efficient. The maximum boost pressure went down some 0.5psi but it held it much better. Some 3 psi extra was held near redline. Instead of it being at 14psi, it was at like 17 or 18psi. Increased power, but kept daily driving economy the same.
If he had gotten a chip, it would be much more expensive, and would most likely decrease the economy like crazy.

Even though cars look the same and have the same specs, they each perform a little bit different from each other, so a remapping to your cars own specifications would be much better.
