I think a better analogy would be "it's like getting a ferarri, but instead of driving a long way to go to the official ferarri petrol station so they can fill it with unleaded, you go to the petrol station round the corner from you and get it filled with unleaded there."

Ah, you see what I did there? The proximity of the petrol station is the analogue for whether it's an mp3 program you already use or one that's foreign to you. I should do this for a living, really. I'm like a shark, I just have to.... keep making analogies.

If you are not use to iTunes, then it might be harder to use at first (especially if you only drag and drop your music). But after you get use to it, it is a lot easier (and quicker) than dragging and dropping. So for your analogy to be right, surely the Ferrari petrol station would need to move closer to your house the more times you use it?
