Yeah I don't really have anything constructive to add. Just that I found myself in a very similar position eager to move into web related programming but having not done programming for so many years that there's thousands out there vastly more experienced. So for the moment I'm locked in a Graphics Design/Media and currently doing a 'Media' job in a FE college. Which hopefully doesn't matter to much as this summer I'm hopefully moving to the states and whatever comes along, comes along, I'll probably be working in one of those Marts you were talking about .

Well, hopefully you'd never end up at one of those but either way... yeah, I'm a self taught web programmer as well. But I had stopped before the whole shockwave / flash scene hit. Now, nearly everythings done by a java applet or some flashy cartoon... and tbh I don't have a real desire to do that ya know? So I definately know how you feel on that whole end.

Anyhow, just browsed the help wanted ads... We've got a choice between truck driving, or a register nursing job. Not that my job right now is bad. I just really have no desire to work in the IT field anymore.
