14 months ago, I bought a 1997 Renault Clio 1.4 which is still fine to this day. However comparing my car to another similar car but with a slightly smaller engine (1.2), my car sounds much louder in terms of noise produced by the engine. Around 60-70mph or at least 3k RPM, the noise is very loud and deep - as if there's a chav's exhaust on the car (in which there isn't). However i've checked the exhaust, but it doesn't seem to be blowing anywhere. There is corrosion however.

Any ideas? I can say my car has always been this loud since I got it and not a problem.
