Ok, so it is my girls birthday in a couple of weeks. I want to do something really nice/special/cool. I have been thinking about taking her to the beach were you can camp out over night on it without the possibilities of getting in trouble, and allows you to have a camp fire too as she loves camping and loves the beach. So I figured that I might as well join the two together and kill two birds with one stone. [thumbup]
Does anyone know of any place that we could go a long the Florida Panhandle, Georgia, Alabama or South Carolina coasts? I don't have the slightest clues as to where to go, and I am not sure of what to really search for. But I want to be able to put the tent right there on the sand, just yards away from the water with a camp fire outside the tent with no possibilities of getting a ticket or anything like that. |

hmm... I know camping on the beach in the UK is illegal, though i'm not entirely sure why.
Didn't stop me and a few mates in Febuary 2001 though... nobody seemed to notice. I woke up with ice all over my sleeping bag, it was f*cking freezing. Make sure if you do camp... it's somewhere thats not obvious. EDIT:... and don't forget about the tide |

That might have something for you - at least a good place to start! [thumbup] |

Maybe you should just crush some cans with your head in front of her. hmm... I know camping on the beach in the UK is illegal, though i'm not entirely sure why. I wanted to do that the first time my husband took me to meet his family in Corpus Christi Texas. Then he informed me that rattlesnakes live in the dunes and like to look for warmth in tents. But yeah, I never though of snakes along the beach. In some places, I would even have to watch out for wild horses. [crazy] I think that those are only in parts of Georgia though. |
