I thought that...yes, at least an A+ was needed. But I've heard that no certs are needed and you just have to take an entrance type of exam. A couple of the members on here work at BB IIRC.

Why would you want to work for them? Honestly i'm not trying to start anything, but i've heard way to many bad things regarding how most (not all mind you, but most) treat their employee's like crap. Much like how walmart treats their employee's. I would never want to work for them personally as i hate most of their corporate policy's and how they treat the customers like they are all criminals.

I hate getting calls from people I know that took their pc to geek squad and they paid $500 to have some of their stuff put on a dvd and windows installed WITHOUT the all the drivers...
Btw, you don't need a A+ to work there.

I'm in no way doubting you on this, but i know it's not the same with every store. Just like walmart, it all depends on the people working there and who the boss's are. Some stores are good to work for and are pleasant to at, but then the next one is horrible and the employee's are treated like crap.

well its like that with every store ever. but i know with my project (the geek squad office depot project) we have an incredibly high satisfactory rate. i think the whole time ive been here there was about 3 customers who werent satisfied and they were taken care of immediately. plus i dont know of any other company where the founder posts his email address for everyone to see and write to him just in case anyone gets upset. but i would suggest this job to anyone. its a lot of fun.

So you work for best buy or office depot? I'm confused.

It is? Well now that is some news to me, I've never heard that before. That would make sense then why i've heard better stuff about geek squad compared to best buy. But like you said all company's have their own horror story's. Well that info defiantly clears up some bias towards geek squad for me. I do have to say though the one close to where i live doesn't get that great of reviews in customer service though.

Sounds like you got brain washed.

I have yet to meet a person who is that happy with his job. Some one always has something to complain about at their job.
