I am currently using a somewhat old router for internet connections for a PC, a notebook, and my xbox360; all through ethernet chord. the connections on all are great, but I'm thinking of going wireless.... I have a D-Link wireless router 54Mps sitting in my room that I'm thinking of using. the PC and xbox360 will still be connected to it via ethernet cable, but my notebook will be using 802 wireless. will there be any connesction loss I'll experience with my 360 if I do this?

I have a Linksys WAG200G wireless router that broadcasts my in the next room so it's close to the phone line (8MB ADSL), and I have 3 wireless PC's and a 360 with a wireless adaptor in the front room.
And all I can say is everything works great, no loss of real connection speed, even when I've got my Laptop sipping from Bittorrent... ![]() |

On topic, I have my 360 wired to my router, and it works fine even when my PC is downloading over the wireless network. |

Do you find that you get lower connection speeds when connecting wirelessly? If I connect my PC via a wired connection, I get 14Mb/s downloads, over wireless I get 7-8Mb/s. I'd expect some drop, but that's a bit low at a distance of 5m. What's your experience? |
