I just turned in my written bid for a new position at work. One that will not only actually use my talents and make going to work bearable but will be about a 20K per year pay raise and I would have vastly better hours.
I know I am the most qualified for the position but we still have quite a bit of the good ole boy thing going on at my facility and I am not a good ole boy. If I get the position it would be the first time a female got into that department. Please guys..send up ALL the positive thoughts you can. [help] I really want this!!!! It would make my life so much better. |

Valhalla, do you know when you'll get an answer? One guy...hey, I love him to death, but he is burnt out. So I am not worried about him. His wife must have filled out the bid for him. The second guy..hmm.... has 18 months seniority on me. The only other thing he has on me is he knows SAP better than I do but he lacks in every other area. He is a known dick and would be horrid in a position of authority If they play the good ole boy game like usual, the 3rd guy isnt too bright but has been there since the beginning of time. He has been in that department for 8 months and is already acting like he has the job. [cursing] HR assured me the placement would not be awarded by seniority alone. I know my skills are good, I know as a rule I interview well. Now I just have to hope that for once they actually do things the way HQ says to. I wish I wasnt obsessing over this. But I havent had a challenging job since I have been with the company. I am also so sick of working 6-6. 9-5 for 20K more a year would be heavenly. I will let you guys know. Thanks again for all your support. ![]() |
