So I got my ppc 6700 sprint phone a few weeks ago from my friend at school for a good price, so I started going out and buying all the accessories I needed for it, like chargers and an extra battery and a memory card...
Well, first I ordered the memory cards from meritline.com since they had a great price. I ended up ordering a 1g card for my pda and a 2g card for my new phone. A couple weeks go by, and I never hear anything from them. After about a week of me emailing them each day asking for my order status, I get a reply saying that they were out of stock of the 2g mini sd card and have shipped out the other 1g that I ordered and credited me for the 2g that I was billed for. Fine, I gotta find somewhere else to buy my mini SD memory card... So I go over to buy.com and find a decent price (about $10 more than what meritline was offering, but it was the best I could find). http://www.buy.com/prod/acp-ep-2gb-m...202547897.html I order it, and the next week it arrives. Looking at the card, I think it looks kind of peculiar, as there are not really any markings on it whatsoever: ![]() ![]() ![]() As you can see, there aren't any labels or anything like ANY of the other cards I have. Now, I bought it through buy.com, and emailed them concerning the fact that I ordered a 2GB card, paid for a 2GB card, the package says that it's a 2GB card, but I ended up with a 1GB card! I thought that it might have just been a problem with my phone recognizing the card as 1GB, so I tried it in a bunch of different card readers on a bunch of different machines at my house (going through the gamut of winXP, linux, and mac), and all of them recognized it as 1gb. Their response was that they do not take returns for this product, and that I'd have to contact the manufacturer for a replacement. I didn't think that that was so bad, so I went to the manufacturer's site, found their contact info, and proceeded to contact them by email. Again. And again. And again. http://www.acp-ep.com/consumer_support.html This was over this past week. I don't feel like I was spamming them with questions, but I emailed them Sunday afternoon, then again on Tuesday, and again today. Still no reply. I found their 800 number and called them up. After I got through the menus and chose "I'd like to speak with an operator," the phone started ringing. It rang and rang and nobody picked up. Eventually it went to voice mail, but I didn't exactly have a message ready to record, so I hung up. This was during their normal business hours, at around 4pm EST (they're open until 4pm PST, which would be 7pm my time). What would your next step be? I really don't want to be out my $30 (which is $10 more than I was planning on spending), but I want to try and get either my correct card or my money back. |

Thanks, I got through to buy.com again, but they still directed my inquiry to acp. I gave acp another call today and finally got through to somebody. They had me send them my invoice and a picture of the insert card with the 2GB SKU on it, so we'll see how it works out.
At least things are looking up![thumbup] |
