its hard to be friends with someone you've actually had feelings for.
I think if its a mutual breakup its probably alright but if one person feels different from the other it is gonna much harder.

These things just tend to happen, try not to worry yourself.

At first when I read this, I though ok young kid, taking things too hard., but then I read that you've been to the bar and in the states that's over 21.

You've been friends with this chick since grade school. That would be several years. You dated for a month. That is nothing. If you put in a year or two, I would feel your sorrow.

Stop being a drama queen, get out there, sow some oats, and make sure you take a hot chick by there when you pick up something she still has of yours. Then call her once and a while and let her now how great the new chick is.

You can still be friends. LOL.

Wants to remain friends? Hah. If she really wanted that she would have told you in person or at least on the phone. You don't want to associate yourself with someone that ends a relationship over a messaging service. [no]

where do u guys meet chicks at?
I'm a drama teacher so joined the local amateur dramatics (it's good where I am!) and found the girl I'm now engaged to [thumbup]

Chicks love it when they expect you to be gay and find out you're not

Yup, that's cold. Either it shows no respect/consideration or she's afraid to tell you to your face.
When you do see her and the subject comes up, you can be candid and admit you were hurt by the breakup but what really hurt was the way she did it.
However I assume this just happened today or very recently and, unless you continue to feel sorry for yourself, you'll find that the depression will soon pass - heck, you may find more girls taking an interest in you now.
