Have you ever tried Falken's, Porn? The Falken FK452 is a popular tire that costs less than other performance tires and supposedly meets or exceeds the grip of other brands.

Thinking about trying them next time, since the Yokohama Advan's my car came with are pretty expensive. Lots of WRX & Evo owners who run auto-x seem to like them...

I had a set of the original falken azenis on my '97 L, and loved them. They have since changed the tires a bit (azenis RT-615) and i hear some good things about them, but also hear they tend to get pretty greasy feeling once they get hot.
