when u sign up for an ebay account, does that autmatically come with a paypal account? if not, y do u have to give ur credit card number to get an ebay account?

You have to sign up for both separately. I can't remember why you have to give a credit card number, but I believe it's for security reasons and you're really who you say you are. I signed up in 2001 and PayPal afterward. Right now I'm going ebay crazy selling most of my DVDs and games.
