Default Music Lovers/Musicians/Guitarists... Check this vid out!
Dennis Dullea plays in Hendrix style

Yeah, I'll admit that I do have some bias, as I'm related to this guy. However, I know my guitarists fairly well, and, despite my bias, I think he still stands as a very good guitarist (and an extremely good blues guitarist). Although he plays in a more Hendrix-like style in this video, he's a blues guitarist at heart. If you'd like to hear more bluesy stuff, check his Myspace page out: http://www.myspace.com/revmuddy

So, what do you say?

Personally, I give it [thumbup] [thumbup] [thumbup] [thumbup] [thumbup] out of 5!

I have to say, he's pretty good.

But after about two minutes, it got kind of boring. Just some dude farting around on the guitar. It's like being in a music store....

Gah, not able to view this stuff at work. I hope I remember to check it out later ;o)

This reminds me, for some reason of one video on youtube where some guy plays "creep" by radiohead in the style of Tom Waits. It's awesome!

Yeah... I suppose it's a personal preference.

If someone is good, then I can watch them play for quite a while before I get bored with it. Especially when they keep it interesting... and the different dynamics and phrasings that he used kept it interesting for me.

Ha, funny thing about that is that I'm pretty sure it was recorded in a music store.

Very nice.

Would sound even better on a 70's Fender Twin.

Sorry no offence but is this guy supposed to be all that? Just cos I notice it said Texas Blues Guitarist which made me think he's something special but all I saw was an average fairly accomplished guitar player and the wonders of effects. I mean he's no novice he's a much better guitar player than I am but there's plenty of videos of better guitarists on YouTube IMO. Maybe it's just his playing style that seems less natural than it actually is.

Diden't like it that much, doing some tricks over and over but never gets the flow going and sounds really choppy. There are much better guitarist on youtube and this is one of my favourit ones, check the other video's out too hes a really nice jazz/blues player.

well to each his own, but if you didnt like the hendrix-style stuff that Dennis did, then you might wanna check his myspace page out. at heart he's a blues guy through and through, like the dude in the video you linked there (who by the way is very good). anyway, hes got two tracks on his myspace page which are quite awesome. he's got a cover of Red House and he's got this outtake (simply titled Denny's Blues Demo) that had some incredible playing on it.
