Fake. The whole business about winning WWII is too sarcastic for a genuine placard. In addition, she looks a little burly and is holding a rainbow flag, i.e. I'd guess she's gay. It's like she is protesting anti-gay rights protestors by saying "ok, go destroy your comptures because they were invented by a gay man!" |

Clicky Clicky.
11:30 a.m. Employing irony in the marriage debate Outside the State House, there are many more gay rights protesters than anti-gay marriage demonstrators. One of the anti-gay marriage proponents, Susie Hicks from Woburn, said this was because everyone thinks gay marriage is a "done deal." She was at the State House with her friend Angela Mitchell, also from Woburn. Mitchell held a sign that read WE WANT THE BAY STATE NOT THE GAY STATE, THAT WOULD MEAN A SAD STATE. Her sign was in sharp contrast to some of those held by gay marriage supporters that focus on gays who've made history such as Leonardo da Vinci, Alan Turing, who invented the computer, and Katherine Lee Bates, who wrote "America the Beautiful." The sign focusing on Turning, for example, reads: DESTROY THE COMPUTER! IT'S A HOMOSEXUAL INVENTION BY ALAN TURING. WHO CARES IF HE CRACKED THE GERMAN ENIGMA CODE AND WON WORLD WAR II. IT'S A HOMO'S DEVIL MACHINE. I thought it was Ronald McDonald without makeup at first. |

Yes they can......
A woman with close cropped brown hair stands outside wrought iron gates of the type commonly found outside Georgian period town houses. A partly obscured Stars and Stripes implies that she may be in America. As the house appears to be of some age we can deduce that this is probably one of the older cities such as Boston or San Francisco. She stands in oblique winter sunshine wearing a red coat adorned by stickers. Her right hand cradles a small flag depicting the colours of the rainbow. Her left hand supports a banner, about 9 feet high proclaiming the following. Destroy the computer! A homosexual invention by Alan Turing. Who cares if he cracked the German Enigma code and won World War II IT'S A HOMO'S DEVIL MACHINE! |
