Default Animals in the womb. Tonight C4 9pm [UK]
Came across the trailer for this last night and thought it would probably be quite fascinating to watch. Will be on at 9pm C4, pictures alone are quite stunning.

Using revolutionary four-dimensional scanning technology, scientists are able to shine a light on the hidden secrets of mammalian embryonic development. The film charts the journey of three species of foetal mammal – a litter of puppies, a single elephant calf and a dolphin.

Dog embryo at around 30 days. It is approximately 2 cm in length – no larger than a grape. This is the dog embryo half way through its gestation.

Dog foetus nearly full-term – 60 days. A full coat of hair, nails and paw pads are present.

A dolphin in the womb (8-9 month foetus).
