I absolutely support fat warnings on some specific articles of clothing:

1. Thong underwear
2. Miniskirts
3. Tank tops
4. Baby tees
5. All lingere
6. Spandex or stretch-fit anything
etc.

hehe
But seriously - why not tax people for their excess weight? 20 pounds over their target weight - £200 per year! Ten pounds per pound seems fair to me!

I'm borderline underweight, but I always buy xxl clothes. This would probably kill me off.

people gota make their own choices about how they live & what they eat...but I kinda agree that if you're going to have public health care that people who willingly choose to live unhealthy lives need to be punished.

How is forcing the population to pay for health care an excuse to control people and their lifestyle? It's more like punishing people for paying tax.

And if they can't afford it, what then? Off to jail? How long, 10 days per pound, keep them locked up until they're average weight? What about fat kids, tax their thin parents? By the same token, skinny people sometimes appear gross, ribs sticking out, all skin & bones. Should they also be taxed until they gain enough weight that you feel they're finally "healthy"?

[no]

Of course! Mum and Dad will be rolling out the salads when the bills start coming in!

I think the government should ban fatty foods and put up a yellow curtain curfews.
I don't think its necessary or even right to ban fatty foods, but governments could start banning the ingredients that are most harmful/contribute to making a food very unhealthy. Or start a better labeling system On the FRONT of the box this time clearly stating that this product contains xyz which is known to be a unhealthy ingredient.

I can't believe people took my post seriously, where were my sarcastic tags.

Go watch V for Vendetta.

I think we need warning labels on the following as well:

Knives:
Warning: Do not attempt to cut while holding the blade end.

Toilet Lid:
Warning: Make sure lid is in the upright position before going number 1, or especially number 2.

Couch:
Warning: If you sit on your ass all day, you may gain weight, resulting in possible health problems and the risk of increased tax.

Circular Saw:
Warning: This device is not intended to be used for masturbation.

Election Ballot:
Warning: Punching the wrong hole may result in an incorrect vote.

Car Batteries:
Warning: Contents are not edible.

If they want me to stop being fat here's what they can do...

Make it cheaper to get a decent healthy meal when you have no time to cook. I get a couple double cheeseburgers and a fry because its about 1/2 to 1/3 the cost of something decent.

They need to figure out a way to put fruit cups right next to the candy bars at the checkout, and make them competitively priced.

Honestly, some carrots and grapes sound pretty good right now. But I'd have to go to a grocery store and dig them out, weigh the grapes, slice up the carrots (or buy a big bag of mini ones and save the rest). It's inconvenient. So I'd rather just buy a snickers.
