Default Fat warnings on clothes?
Larger sized clothes should come with advice about your health on them.

Experts writing in the British Medical Journal want shoppers to be given an obesity helpline number at the checkout.

They also think unhealthy foods should be taxed and school leavers should get health checks.

They say it's the only way to stop people getting bigger.

I think it should go both ways really. If you're going to do it for those that are in plus size category, surely those who super skinny should be given help warnings too?

I think people who are overweight already know it and this is just another instance of one group of people who see themselves as superior trying to tell another group what to do.

It wont make or help them lose weight..but it might just further wreck their self esteem and make it even more permissible for those who deem themselves "normal" to discriminate against and make fun of those they consider overweight.

Yeah, but it's cool to be skinny. Didn't you know?
Tell that to that 21 yr old model who died last month from anorexia...

I bet her family would rather still have her chubby and alive than skinny and dead. I dont think making a fashion statement at your own funeral is worth much.

that is just a really freaking stupid idea

although tax on unhealthy food and lower prices on fresh fruit and veg sounds totally awesome

Instead of eating a packet of crisps or 5, why not munch on a nice juicy apple?

I'm sure that would go down a storm. Why not just have a big alarm go off with flashing lights and a big neon sign saying "HEY FATASS! GO ON A DIET!"

I think a far more sensible solution is to simply open a 2-month open hunting season on fat people.

Too easy. Big target, and chasing them isn't exactly going to be trouble. Where is the fun in that?

I think the government should ban fatty foods and put up a yellow curtain curfews.

People can not think for themselves so they should not be able to make their own decisions. We should sacrifice most of own rights and possessions in order to live in a world governed by specific laws.

Being fat should be illegal, violaters should be put on trendmills in public view. Tell that to that 21 yr old model who died last month from anorexia... You can not die from Anorexia, you can, however die from stupdity. Good riddance and thank you Darwin.

Personally I think that all garments made of lycra should only be produced up to a certain size.

If someone in a shop asks for a size that is larger, then the shop assist should politely advise them that they are too fat.

Obese people wearing lycra look like a bunch of potatoes trying to escape from a bag. Its really not nice.

What about the poeple who don't care about being fat, or are unable to do anything about it? For example I know a lot of weman stuggle to remain slim after having children.

It's a massive assumption that "fat" people need help, or want it. I lost nearly 5 stone. I'm still a big guy, and buy bigger sized clothes (x large tshirts for example, size 17 shirts). The last thing I would want is some stupid bint at the checkout giving me advise on how to loose weight, when I already know how to do it. However I do like eating and not a fan of sport. I'll start to give them advise on how to get a better job than working in a fooking fast food restaurant or a shitty clothes shop.

Food should contain labels, not the clothes - prevention.

I'm so glad you are not in any position of power. That could have been sarcasm too...but with you I'm not sure.

Anyway, dumb idea,I don't think anyone who's actually obese is under some false impression that it's healthy for them.

Actually, I don't see Will's suggestion as being too far off in the near future. Certain countries and states in the US are embracing the whole "Let's control your eating habits" idea. New York wants to ban ingrediants in restaraunts that they consider unhealthy, and other places want to tax fatty foods. The funny thing is that many of the people who are for the banning of smoking and controlling of health are the same people that want to legalize drugs because "it's their body!"

I am considered overweight and I am happy. I don't control my diet, and I eat what I like. My mom, on the other hand, is to the point where she is measuring everything that she eats. She is really stressing out over her diet, and it makes her really bitchy. But hey, she'll live longer! Not a bad trade off. Be stressed out, eat foods that don't taste as good, but live longer. That's much better than living a shorter life and enjoying yourself.

They also think unhealthy foods should be taxed

Who decides what's healthy and what's not? Anyway, anything can be unhealthy if you eat too much of it.

I'll also have to upgrade my gun to take extra heavy 'elephant-grade' ammunition.

People stress way too much about being in a certain weight realm. To me, whatever works best for a person's body is what they should weigh, as in be fairly well built.

Some people are just too god damn skinny. They piss me off more so because all I ever hear them saying is how they eat "sooo much" and "all the time". Really don't understand why they make up bullshit stories to make it seem like they don't starve themselves. This group contains more of the snobby bitches because they think they're the second coming.

Others are just too god damn fat. It gets to the point where you ask yourself "what the hell does this person do all day?". It's like they eat a horse everyday, sit their asses down on the couch, and that's it. This group contains more of the arseholes because they aren't as good looking.

No twigs. No Stumps. Don't sit there and think about how many calories something has and such, just eat the ****ing thing. However, don't sit there and eat a fricken army's worth of it.

Fact is fat people know they are overweight and they dont need a tag on the stuff they buy to tell them [rolleyes]

Humiliating people is not a way to change a person's lifestyle.
