Default take a look at my car's screens...
well i've been in the process of buying/installing and putting the finishing touches on my screens in my car. it's been about $1500 into it plus many many hours of my time outside of the installer's time for the main part of the job.
anyways, here's what it looks like:

i have 259 music videos (8.5GB + 4.7GB DVDs) and a 500 192Kbps(and higher) 4.7GB DVD. mostly playing music videos. looks kickass at night i think. during daytime i mostly use my music dvd, the whole middle screen becomes my controls for playback all touchscreen too:-)

that's a 7" Kenwood DDX6019, a Nesa 7" screen on top, and two 9" Innovatek IN-909 monitors on the headrests...

what do you think?

Never really understood the need for a LCD up front for DVD viewing. Can see it for GPS navigation with maps, a rear view for a camera.

Still, at least its clean, seen quite a few other installs that were wiring nightmares.

I'd be afraid to drive that thing, knowing how many people would love to break into my car and just rip that stuff right out.

Other than that, nice.

not really, most of the time i just listen to it, my girlfriend watches. i'm not about to get into an accident over it, if that's what you're concerned about.

What car is that?
2006 Nissan Maxima 3.5 SL, had it for about half a year now

I'd be afraid to drive that thing, knowing how many people would love to break into my car and just rip that stuff right out.

Other than that, nice.
thanks. i'm not as afraid of driving it as i am of parking it but its just not something that happens where i live. we've got some nice cars in here with rims and stuff and they seem to be ok for the 3 years i've been in this neighboorhood. Not to mention, once the car is off, you can't notice there are screens inside. 10% tints with black leather interior, hides pretty well...at least for now[help]

Never really understood the need for a LCD up front for DVD viewing. Can see it for GPS navigation with maps, a rear view for a camera.
well that's the beauty of it. since i have two screens in the front, i can have the middle one (which is the actual head unit) show the rear view camera or the navigation, while all other screens still play and hear the dvd playing! but my idea for getting this installed is for long trips, everyone needs entertainment, including the passenger up front, not just the people in the back. another thing, lots of trains and red lights here...makes it more fun to drive now

but.... WHY!? You can't look at them while driving. It would distract and irritate ME anyway... So you watch movies in your driveway?

i've said this more than once, i do it because 90% of my time, my gf is in the passenger side, and she can enjoy it. secondly, when i'm at a red light, or a mcdonald's drivethru or anything else that requires me waiting inside my car, i'm entertained and you're not. and lastly, when i have the $500, i'll be adding the navigation system to it, and then i'll be concentrated on that on the middle screen while the passenger watches videos on the top. simple enough. during a long trip, i concetrate on directions, while everyone else in the car can watch the movie:-)

You car insurance go up?
Nope! i paid off my insurance a while back, so i dont pay a cent more till i have to renew, and even then, i dont see why this would affect it, i can (and will if i have to) that i only use it for navigation purposes in the front screens.

looks nice.

but i do not honestly see the point of the two in the centre console.
well here's the thing, i didnt want 2 screens in the front. my original idea was to put the dvd player itself on top and leave the middle with the cd changer and cassette player. but because there is a AC duct 4" behind the top screen, the actual kenwood unit did not fit, they had to put it where it is now, and i just wasnt happy with that position. it is too low and for movies or navigation, or anything else, it was hurting my neck. so the only way i saw to fix that, was to add a second screen on top, now i only look at the top screen myself, while people in the back and my passenger can look at both. i would have been happy with one screen though, if it was in the right place

my in car dvd player senses when the car is moving and turns the moniors off if the 4 monitor option is selected ie I can have 4 tv screens 4 channel av but once you set off the two optional screens in the front turn off (or the one if you just have one)
