The dictionary never has either. whinge verb [I] whingeing or whinging UK INFORMAL DISAPPROVING to complain, especially about something which does not seem important: http://dictionary.cambridge.org/defi...0226&dict=CALD [yes] |

I'm sorry,I'm using the updated more understandable form of english,we don't put the useless "g" in the middle of the word.

uum neither do we.. they're two different words verb [I] whingeing or whinging UK INFORMAL DISAPPROVING to complain, especially about something which does not seem important: Oh stop whinging, for heaven's sake! She's always whingeing (on) about something. And "Whine" –verb (used without object) 1.to utter a low, usually nasal, complaining cry or sound, as from uneasiness, discontent, peevishness, etc.: The puppies were whining from hunger. 2.to snivel or complain in a peevish, self-pitying way: He is always whining about his problems. –verb (used with object) 3.to utter with or as if with a whine: I whined my litany of complaints. –noun 4.a whining utterance, sound, or tone. 5.a feeble, peevish complaint. Sounds like the same word to me,only you guys like to spell it so it should sound like "wing-ing",but you drop the g...or do you actually pronounce the "g"? |
