Default A 1935 US Plan for Invasion of Canada
Just be happy that you were considered. Since we have invasion plans for everyone else, if we didn't have one for you its because we didn't think you were worth invading .

Spec. "We"?

Quebec doesn't have any oil at all really, and has no claim (federally or otherwise) on the Oil out west.

Back in the 1930s, Canada didn't have a lot of oil by any means.

Spec. Do you understand how pathetically small Quebec's oil outputs are?

Last time I checked it's well under a quarter of a percent of Alberta's...

Last time I checked it's well under a quarter of a percent of Alberta's... First, this thread is not about oil.

Second, a minute ago, according to you, Quebec had none.

Now, according to you, again, we have almost none...Only because you are still talking out of your ass.

The wells that were found in gaspesie, that's without counting the ones near Kuujuaq and off-shore, are projected to of the biggest in output in Canada.

But those news were probably not shown in Alberta cuz you red-necks need to beleive your superior in oil, because, admit it, that's all you guys have.

Are you confusing Quebec's "barrels per day" with figures like "million barrels per day"?

From Spec's link:
well stabilized at a daily production of 34 barrels of light oil

The current Oil Sands production is 1 million barrels a day...

Actually, Alberta's barrel output per day is 1,200,000. That includes conventional oil. I said Oil Sands was about a million a day, which is true.

Give it time asher, that was just a test. When they made the discovery in March 2006 IINM they estimated the possible output per day would be around 400 000. After the test were successful and found out that there were other wells they said a possibility of 750000 a day in the next 20 years. That may have been just to put the shares on fire, but that's what they said on the news.

I'm trying to find a link, will post soon.

Spec. By 2020, the Oil Sands are projected to do 3 million barrels per day...

I sincerely doubt they'd get anywhere near 750,000 in Quebec from conventional wells. That's just them trying to boost their share price to ignorant Quebec investors.

There's a reason this isn't big news, and that's because people out west -- who know Oil -- know better.

And of course investors from around the world would never invest here. Invest in Quebec's energy market? You're damn right they wouldn't. That's just asking for trouble...

That's not a troll, it's true.

You clearly don't have any idea what the mindset of oil companies are. Quebec's government is not Oil-friendly in the slightest, in fact Quebec has been linked to the NEP thanks to Trudeau and I'm not sure Oil companies would want to risk another whacko getting in power (and in Quebec, this is very likely) that would cost them billions of dollars.

Not when there are other hot markets to invest in...

@imran No.

Ebergy market is wide Asher. Hydro, and windmills are included, and yes people invest in it. Oil is not the only source of energy.
