I work for Honeywell, ive been with them for over 6 years now. Im 25 years old, not married or anything. Right now Honeywell is offering contract jobs installing security systems at military bases in Iraq. The pay is very good, I would be making over $3000 a week doing this. Theoretically if I was to stay there for 1 year I would be able to pay off my house and all of my debts since your earnings are tax free if you are there for more than 11 months. I am seriously considering this...
But the question is, is it worth the risk/trouble? Bassicaly you would be running the same risks as the troops over there since you will be staying on base and sleeping/eating is same conditions. Obviously there wouldnt be any combat though atleast not on purpose. It will be hot and miserable. However I would be able to quit and come home when ever I wanted. Presumably leaving out as soon as conditions permit. Is it worth it? What do you guys/gals think about this prospect? |
