So my friends came to visit me from school and parking here is very expensive since it's in the midlde of the city. Parking is free on Sunday though at select parking meters. 2 people carpooled and the other one drove herself. I hopped in their cars and directed them both to meters when they got to my appartment and told them that it would be free to park at these specific meters on sunday and low and behold it turns out those meters were inforced. When they left I walked back to their cars and we found the tickets and I felt really bad since these are good friends. They said I shouldn't need to pay and to pay only to make myself feel better but I felt as though I should pay their tickets in full. What would you do in this situation? Pay the price in full? Split the price of the ticket equally between them and you? Not pay anything?

See if you can find any mistakes on the parking tickets that would cause you to not have to pay them. If not, I guess the right thing to do would be to offer to pay the tickets I'm going to have to go talk to someone about it tomorrow I guess. I think the issue is that the meters they parked at are not owned by the University even though they are on University property. (School is on a river and they parked on a road next to the river, which might make it a public park ground instead of University property or something stupid like that.). |

Well my schools website says "University Parking meters are not enforced on Sunday's or University Holidays." |
