Default ebay problem
Well after sucessfully selling my Xbox 360 console as well as the PGR3 and Burnout Revenge, i've still got one game remaining here with me now. It was sold in an ebay auction, but I have doubts as to whether the buyer will actually pay for it.

Auction here.

Now if you notice, this buyer has already bought a copy of Dead Rising for a slightly cheaper price from another seller judging by his feedback (1 day earlier than my auction too). When the buyer bought this from me, he sent me an e-mail regarding how you pay by Paypal. How can you not know how to pay by Paypal?

I get the impression he's not going to pay. [no]

What shall I do? I've sent him another reminder by e-mail, but i've heard nothing for the last two days after I got an e-mail questioning me how to send payment via paypal.

I'd send an email asking if he intends to pay for it considering the fact that he's already bought a copy, if not please let you know asap so you can offer it to someone else, please be advised a non paying bidder strike will be sent to ebay and bad feedback will be left if no reply is received.

Then report it to ebay anyway, bad feedback is risky as he can just bad feedback you, but i'd definately report it if he don't pay.

Bump - I need some advice here on what to do. It has been nearly a full week and i've sent him a couple of e-mails without any response. When he asked for paypal instructions, I sent the instructions, but i've heard nothing ever since with no payment.

What to do?

When it gets to a full week report it to eBay as a non paying bidder and they'll contact the buyer and advise him it needs to be paid or a non paying bidder strike will be issued.

If he don't pay thats all you can do, apart from leaving bad feedback, but then you got the chance he'll leave bad feedback in return just to be a tosspot

Negative feedback is something i'm worrying about, thus why I have a sticky problem here. If the worst happens where i'm hit with negative feedback, then I guess i'll have to make a reply to the feedback.

I'll send him an e-mail reminding him again to pay for the item and if it's not paid for by Monday next week, then I guess i'll have to report it.

Maybe I misunderstood something, but I thought you could get ebay to remove that feedback if you prove that the other person is in the wrong?

Ok, something new: I just sent him an e-mail asking him to pay for the item, but now he has replied saying he already has this item from another auction (he seems to have already bought it judging from his feedback). I can't believe this idiot has decided to do this to me. [thumbdown]

What to do now?

Definately report him and keep any emails or messages you have received, that way if you do leave negative feedback and he responds with negative you have evidence that he never paid and, although it's not easy, as perfectmark said, you can get ebay to remove the bad feedback you receive.

Yep!
Just report him to eBay and neg him.
I had the same a few times.

I reported them to ebay, went through the dispute and negged the non paying bidder.
As normal i got some retaliation negative feedback and when the dispute is completed eBay will remove the negative.

My feedback is now back to 100%.

People who let time wasters get away from stuff like this worrying about a neg on their feedback should really warn other traders.

Yup. Leave negative feedback and file a complaint with ebay regarding a non paying bidder. If he leaves you negative feedback over the issue e-bay will remove it. That is if you can get ahold of ebay. They're a pain in the ass to deal with.

I always state payment must be made with 48hours, otherwise negative feedback will be left.

And I followed through on it. Some guy didn't pay, 48hrs on I left him negative feedback.

I don't see why people should have to wait for someone to maybe pay for something. It should be there and then on the spot. Paypal only as well.

Just removes all the complications.

If you leave it for one, others will take notice. Not had a problem since!

Well since you have to wait 7 fookin' days after the auction ends, I intend to report him tomorrow with a negative feedback included.

However judging by what you said, I guess i'll state payment must be made within 2 days after the auction ends for my future auctions.

Another way to combat it is use a buy it now price that is more tempting and then check the "require immediate payment for buy it now items" option.
