It Returns.......
Nissan Skyline GT-R

Power bogeys put the mill in the range of 450 horsepower and 370 pound-feet of twist. In true Skyline fashion, the car will be all-wheel-drive, with a further evolution of the GT-R’s electronic ATTESA ET-S torque-sensing system, tied into a four-wheel steering system. Damn that is sexy [surrender]
I'm a real sucker for the R34's, but I have to admit that is pretty nice!! Very sleek and fluid, yet still has the classic skyline's arse! |
Well it's a massive improvement compared to the old Skyline, but still looks a bit like something designed by a computer (no heart or passion in the design).
|
sweet, i hope it makes production and we get it here in the states[thumbup]

Well the old Skyliner didn't really look special. If you didn't know too much about cars, you could easily mistake one for a standard salon. Sure it was a great car to drive, but then I want my cake and being able to eat it (great car to drive with great looks).
The new skyline looks like someone got a computer model of the old version and then adjusted it on a computer until they got something looking a bit more modern. While with something like a Lamborghini, you know someone in Italy got a pencil out and did a few designs before they even started to think about putting it on a PC. http://www.marax.at/funpix/hamann_la...do_2006_15.jpg |
that tthing looks awesome. very nice. cant wait to get one [thumbup]
|
And the price difference?
The skyline is a car that can be used everyday (ok it'll drink alot of fuel), the Lambo .... not so much an everyday car |

not keen on the looks, but i am sure the final version will look better so i will reserve my judgement
the old r34 looks awesome, one of the best looking cars around that looks mean |
Again... ITS NOT A SKYLINE http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/mad1.gif
It's a GT-R. Japan already has a Skyline, its the G35. This is a no-nonsense luxury sports car beater and will be priced as such. They kept most of the show car looks, like it lots |
awesome, by the time i have the money and cheap insurance they'll only be a few years old [thumbup]
|
that is the final exterior design so get used to it. i frankly dont care how it looks as long as it lives up to its name performance wise.

GT-R was IMO more or less "prototype" car... Making Skyline (Infinity G35) look like it does now was HUGE mistake made by Nissan... So i put my [thumbup] for this to be new (real) Skyline GT-R... PS. Loving the exhaust... [surrender] [yes] |
sounds likes its taking aspects for the gt-r and being incorporated into the new skyline
