Default It Returns.......
Nissan Skyline GT-R

Prevailing rumors have the car taking on a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V-6, itself derived from the engine in the 350Z. Power bogeys put the mill in the range of 450 horsepower and 370 pound-feet of twist. In true Skyline fashion, the car will be all-wheel-drive, with a further evolution of the GT-R’s electronic ATTESA ET-S torque-sensing system, tied into a four-wheel steering system.

Due: 2008

Damn that is sexy [surrender]

I'm a real sucker for the R34's, but I have to admit that is pretty nice!! Very sleek and fluid, yet still has the classic skyline's arse!

Well it's a massive improvement compared to the old Skyline, but still looks a bit like something designed by a computer (no heart or passion in the design).

Well the old Skyliner didn't really look special. If you didn't know too much about cars, you could easily mistake one for a standard salon. Sure it was a great car to drive, but then I want my cake and being able to eat it (great car to drive with great looks).

The new skyline looks like someone got a computer model of the old version and then adjusted it on a computer until they got something looking a bit more modern. While with something like a Lamborghini, you know someone in Italy got a pencil out and did a few designs before they even started to think about putting it on a PC.

And the price difference?

The skyline is a car that can be used everyday (ok it'll drink alot of fuel), the Lambo .... not so much an everyday car

One of the new vettes is around the price of the Skyline, yet the vette looks a lot better (IMO). Price shouldn't be an excuse for a car not looking as good as it can. A company just needs the right people designing the car.

They just need to keep the Japs off the design boards...[yes]

IMO Corvettes (new one included) look dated.

Again... ITS NOT A SKYLINE

It's a GT-R. Japan already has a Skyline, its the G35.

This is a no-nonsense luxury sports car beater and will be priced as such.

They kept most of the show car looks, like it lots

that is the final exterior design so get used to it. i frankly dont care how it looks as long as it lives up to its name performance wise.

If you look closely, you can clearly see the Lambo is a tweaked mini...

What makes you think that?

GT-R was IMO more or less "prototype" car... Making Skyline (Infinity G35) look like it does now was HUGE mistake made by Nissan...

So i put my [thumbup] for this to be new (real) Skyline GT-R...

PS. Loving the exhaust... [surrender] [yes]
