Default PORTFOLIO
Hello everyone, can anybody tell me what is portfolio in finance? How to decide the allocation in portfolio management? How to measure the performance of portfolio? Unlike mutual funds can we buy and sell stocks and shares in our portfolio? Your answers will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hello dear, portfolio is a pool of money that in invested in various asset classes like debt, equity and real estate etc..., there is a fund manager who is responsible for the portfolio management. Investment in various assets depends upon the need of the investors.

Hey dear, see generally the need and approach are two important parameters that need to be considered while investing in particular assets. Those who are aggressive in nature can allocate more money in equity as comparison those who are conservative .it is said that 100-age of investors should the part which is allocated in equity and rest should be in debt.

Hello dear, yes you can manage your portfolio by selling and buying units at any point of time without any expense unlike in mutual funds .this comes under portfolio revision .we can revise our portfolio by upgrading and re-balancing the no of stocks.
